WHO WE SERVE

Built for the Way Chappaqua Actually Lives

Chappaqua households run at two speeds at once. Adults log serious hours on the Harlem Line and at desks, then spend weekends on trails and courts. Kids train year-round, and Horace Greeley athletes carry practice schedules that would humble many adults. Both patterns leave spines and joints absorbing repetitive stress until something complains.

We built this practice for exactly that mix. Because our doctors see the whole family, from pediatric care through active retirement, the plan accounts for the household, not just the symptom.

CONDITIONS

Six Problems We Solve Without Surgery

Chronic Back Pain

Long Harlem Line commutes and longer laptop evenings compress the lumbar spine hour after hour. We trace the true driver before we treat it.

Neck Pain

Forward head posture from phones and monitors is the modern cervical epidemic. Specific adjustments plus habit changes make results stick.

Neuropathy

Numbness, burning, or pins and needles in the feet respond best when addressed before nerve damage compounds.

Shoulder Injuries

Tennis serves, swim strokes, and yard work all strain the most mobile joint in the body. We restore mechanics rather than resting the symptom away.

Hip Pain

Stiff hips quietly rewrite how you walk, sit, and climb stairs. A precise exam separates joint restriction from referred spinal pain.

Knee Pain

From growing athletes with jumper’s knee to adults with early arthritis, non-surgical care can quiet pain while we correct the loading pattern behind it.

ONE CLINIC, MANY TOOLS

How Integrated Care Changes the Equation

Most chiropractic offices near Chappaqua offer one tool: the adjustment. It is a good tool, and chiropractic care anchors what we do. But stubborn tendon problems often respond faster when adjustments are paired with deep tissue laser therapy, and degenerative joints sometimes benefit from regenerative wellness options a solo adjusting office cannot provide.

Having those modalities in one clinic means your plan can change as your body responds, without new offices, repeated intake forms, or records chasing you around Westchester.

AN HONEST COMPARISON

Solo Chiropractic Office vs. Integrated Clinic

What it means for you Solo chiropractic office Integrated chiropractic + medical clinic
Scope of care Spinal adjustments, sometimes basic soft tissue work Adjustments plus laser therapy, massage, rehab, nutrition coaching, and regenerative medicine under one roof
When imaging or a specialist is needed You are referred out and your records travel slowly One coordinated team manages the evaluation and referral pathway
If chiropractic is not the answer Care usually ends at the office door Your case shifts to another provider inside the same clinic
Benefits and paperwork Often the patient’s homework Verified for you before the first appointment

1
A real conversation

Your history, your symptoms, and the activities you are trying to protect, from a golf swing to lifting a grandchild without wincing.

2
A thorough examination

Posture, gait, joint motion, orthopedic and neurological testing. Depth here separates a targeted plan from a generic one.

3
Findings you can understand

We show you what we found and what we recommend, including the honest option of no treatment when that is the right call.

4
Care that starts gently

If treatment is indicated, most patients are adjusted the same day with techniques matched to their comfort and age.

TRANSPARENT PRICING

Straight Answers on Insurance and Cost

Two neighbors with the same back problem can face very different costs, because what you pay is shaped by your plan: deductible status, copays, visit caps, and which services your policy classifies as medically necessary. Anyone quoting a number before checking those variables is guessing.

Our approach is simpler. We collect your insurance information when you schedule, verify your benefits before you walk in, and review the results together. If a recommended therapy is not covered, or you have no insurance, we lay out self-pay and financing options plainly.

GOOD TO KNOW

What Chappaqua Patients Ask Us Most

What are warning signs of a chiropractor to avoid?+

Walk away from prepaid long-term contracts sold on day one, treatment that begins without an examination, and claims that adjustments cure unrelated diseases. Good chiropractic care is measured, transparent, and tied to a plan you can question at any point.

Can chiropractors in New York prescribe prednisone or other drugs?+

No. Prescribing medication is outside the chiropractic scope of practice in New York State. Because Integra Health is an integrated clinic rather than a solo adjusting office, we can help you bring a medication question to an appropriate medical provider.

Do adjustments really stimulate the vagus nerve?+

The honest answer: the evidence is preliminary. The vagus nerve travels near the upper cervical spine and researchers are studying how spinal care interacts with the autonomic nervous system, but nobody should promise you vagus nerve therapy through adjustments.

Should a pregnant woman go to a chiropractor?+

Many expectant mothers do, particularly for low back, hip, and pelvic discomfort in the second and third trimesters. Techniques are modified for pregnancy, our pre and postnatal program is supported by Dr. Ritika Merai, DC, MSACN, and we coordinate with your OB when appropriate.

How long does it take to reach your office from downtown Chappaqua?+

About 12 minutes by car: Route 117 south to the Saw Mill River Parkway, then the Hawthorne exit. We are at 153 Broadway Suite 1 with our own free parking lot, and roughly a 5 minute walk from the Hawthorne stop on the Metro-North Harlem Line.

Do you take my insurance?+

We work with many major plans, and the accurate answer depends on your specific policy. Send your details when you book and we verify your benefits before you arrive, so you know what is covered, what is excluded, and what honest self-pay or financing routes exist.

I woke up in severe pain. What will the first visit actually involve?+

A focused conversation and examination first, so we understand what triggered the episode. If same-day treatment is safe and indicated, we begin gently, aiming to settle the flare. If your exam points to imaging or a medical workup first, we say so and help arrange it.

Do you treat student athletes from Horace Greeley High School?+

We care for young athletes from across the area. With a parent’s authorization our doctors will communicate with a school athletic trainer so treatment, training loads, and return-to-play timing stay consistent.
